Welcome to my world of curls and self discovery! I am Tawnia, a passionate and experienced stylist with roots on the island and a heart full of love for our beautiful community in Duncan and the Cowichan Valley.  With almost 30 years in the industry I can confidently say that I have never been more devoted to my craft or my amazing clients. As a dedicated curl stylist I take pride in constantly honing my skills and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.

In my journey to loving my hair, I had my fair share of challenges.  Like many I used to resort to flat irons and curling irons, often at the expense of my hair's health.  Everything changed when I decided to prioritize the well being of my hair and embrace my natural waves. I found empowerment through the love and acceptance of my natural textures, and it was then that I knew I wanted to be a stylist dedicated to celebrating every curl.

Behind the chair my primary goal is not only to make your hair look beautiful but also to educate and empower you.  I believe that the key to truly embracing your curls is to understand how to care for them at home.  Together we will unlock the secrets to the most stunning, healthy, and defined curls and waves, even outside the salon.

Beyond my love for curls, I am a true introvert at heart.  When I am not in the salon you will find me surrounded by books, craffts, and art in the comfort of my home.  I love listening to podcasts, always craving to learn something new. Currently I am diving into various business programs, aiming to elevate the value I bring to my guests every visit.
